Organizational Structure and Governance

Basaha Saving and Credit Cooperative Limited have constituted a Board of Members nominated and/or elected by the General Assembly (GA), consisting of 9 members. General Assembly meets once a year is the governing body of the organization. The Board of Members assigns the Managing Director (MD) to direct and oversee day-to-day functions of the organization. The MD is answerable towards the Board of Members, the Constituency and the Donor/Contributor/Collaborator as well. The Board of Members provides strategic inputs and approval to its operations to make the organization fully functional.

General Assembly, in the same line, formulates Account (Supervision) Committee (AC) consisting 3 members, led by Account Coordinator to supervise and control the financial activities. The AC compulsorily has to conduct the meeting at least 3 times a year to keep the financial activities in the track and submit the report in the GA. A Loan Sub-committee, led by Loan Coordinator, consisting 3 members for supervising, recommending, and monitoring the status of loan issued to the members also works actively. This committee conducts the meeting many times as per need.
